Ive recently bought a replacement ECU for my AE101 GTZ, and while installing it I can't seem to get to the bolts holding the original ECU in place. The bolts Im talking about are the ones on the drivers side where the drivers foot rest is. There is only about 2.5cm gap between the bolt and the plastic foot rest thingy which isnt enuff to fit the wrench in between.
Can anyone give me some advice on how to get around this problem or how to remove that foot rest?
Cheers.
PS: Thnx Mr Revhead for souricing the ECU & speedy delivery.

Yeah I would've just suggested using a spanner as well, what are they 10/12mm ?
Shouldn't be too hard with the right tools.
The footrest is held in place by 2 plastic screws.
Look at the footrest, you will see 2 circles with a grip pattern that looks just like the rest of the footrest. These circles are the screws... get a big screwdriver and undo the screws using the blade of the screwdriver in between the grip pattern. You can then remove the footrest - I had to do this a couple of months ago and it had me puzzled for a bit too.
