is there a cheep way of repairing small chips and cracks in windscreens? on the smith and smith website the estimate is round $88.

im wondering if there is sum products you can use at home instead of getting the pros to do it

wow maybe take it to some different places for a quote i had two repaired and it was like $30 each

Permatex make the shit to fill in a the chips/cracks in your windshiled

Depends on the chips, go ask smith and smith to take a look.

I took my van in to get some chips fixed under insurance, but there were 3 chips all right next to each other (looked like one and it was from one stone...) turns out they couldn't fix them so it was new screen time.

The chips don't worry me so I told them not to bother. Just pointing this out to show not all chips can be fixed with repairs :)

sweet will have a look at the permatex, ill probly end up taking it to smith n smith for a quote but i expect it will be expensive

give supreme screens a call, they came checked out my crack )( to see if it was repairable for free. there quote was half that of Smith and Smith and they come to you so you're not left without a car. http://www.supremescreens.co.nz/

i heard a new ad on the radio advertising a DIY chip repair product for about $30, but cant remember any details. may have been called "u fix it" or something?

I'd still say get it checked first. If the pros can't fix it theres no point trying a DIY kit :lol:
