anyone needing mechanical perk work?

my younger brother is a mechanic at Powerhaus in Thorndon and asked me to see if anyone needs work done. It will all be done on saturdays and done at Powerhaus.

Hes a wicked mechanic and knows a shit load. Has owned a GZE hatch (slideways now has in his yard

)and owns a GZE ae100 sedan and helps me with all my 4age bits and pieces.

For all that dont know what powerhaus is etc its a porche and European specialist that are well known on the targa scene

my mate trained and worked there a couple years back. got to work on some cool cars, loads of porsches, also a few lambos and audis etc

when i was there the other day there was Ferrari and a few merecdes track cars etc.

Jake ... pulley kit would not take long at all

it needs the pully and the waterpup or is it the alt one that i have alloy underdrive one i have all the belts and stuff if he is keen to tell me how much itl be i dont mind giving him a hand to pull stuff of i just dont have the gear to anymore

it will be $30 an hour. It wont take long to do mate ... i will talk to him when he can sort it out for you

My mercs got what i think is a seized calliper, and gearbox makes a funny noise in reverse... I assume working at Powerhaus he'd be pretty clued up on mercs and stuff?

he said seized caliper is all good and can be done easy as. Is it an auto or a manual?

Hey Matt

I still havent bothered to install that gearbox I bought off you.

Any ideas on the pricing for - replacing the gearbox + replacing the clutch (just labour will get the parts myself)

no hurry on it (hence why it still isnt done haha)

My brother is away at the moment but when i see him next i will ask him. Gearbox replacement etc normally takes a few hours but i will ask him

i have a 87 mk2 that needs some engine love...ie its running like poohs. just bought it and am driving it but id love an idea of what a decent tune up would cost? i can get more details if needed.
