I replaced my radiator in my V8 Soarer last month with a Fenix type (aluminium). Also installed Trans cooler.
No issuses as yet.
TT Soarer has Ali Radiator and trans cooler as well (4years), no issues.

Re: Aftermarket ecu opinions
Yeah STM were about 4-4.5K to supply ECU (Link Extreme), wire and tune. They were going to use the stock ECU to run the auto trans.
You could use a transmission ECU such as Supra Stick V4. Second hand they are reasonably priced. Anyone had experience with them?

Re: In tank fuel pump options for a soarer
Having tried one or two different pumps I have settled with the Deschwerks 300. Not noisy but you can here it running.
One other problem I have found (on the Soarer) is, that with the stock wiring some pumps don't like running on 9V.
On cold start car will run then die. Doing the FP bypass solves ...

Compression Tester
Hi Guys
I'm on the bludge, I am in need of a compression tester for a diesel motor. If any of you are diesel mechanics and have one to hire out, would be much appreciated.
Am in the Wellington area and can pickup.
Cheers.
Evan.
