you should ALWAYS bleed ya brakes on a pad change the more you can bleed it the better eliminates any water build up in the system.
from memory they are the ratchet style caliper hence the wind in.
and it is easy to bleed brakes as a one man band ...
well considering if that flywheel was stock in that mustang then there is no way it would handle 7800RPM !!!!! so that would explain the way it destroyed itself.
if you going that high in revs on a V* you need to go either billit or atleast custom no way a stock one will spin like that under that ...
top up the radiator, have car on angle so cap is higher than motor or as stated above (funnel), run motor and top up till its full, HAVE heater on hot setting you dont need the fans on as this will cause it to take longer to heat the water, just leave it running and kepping an eye on water level ...
it will be an air leak, specially if it is fluctuating when you pump the brake peedle. check the intake pipe and all of your vacuum pipes.
Another thing to do is get sump CRC and spray the pipes and see if the idle changes when you spray it it will indicate which pipe it is then.

you should mount it in front of the radiator IMO, and as for mounting the lines up or down i dont think it would matter as the lines should be under pressure anyway.
well i dont think it would matter where in the line the BOV is, as the whole tube will be under pressure so no matter where it is, it will still vent that pressure out anyway??? front or rear its still going to let out the same amount of air. all the BOV is doing is relieving pressure in the pipe so ...
well not really it might have only been touching enough to just nick the top of it and move it slightly just out of reach, or there might have been a foriegn part in the cylinder at the time??
