Theoretically it is not possible for the steering angle and the movement
of the steering wheel to get out of synch. There is a mechanical connection
between the two, and you would know if something broke. But, if you
happened to be making a turn on smooth wet concrete, the car may have ...

Re: Spark plug for my 4AGTE
The conditions inside the combustion chamber have not changed just because
you have changed the ignition system (so long as they are "dumb" COP's). The
spark plugs will not know any different if they are getting the same spark energy
at the gap. If the gap was too wide you might expect some ...

Re: LED Headlight Bulbs too bright or OK?
A quick cruise thru the regs seems to indicate that LED headlights have to comply
with the same rules as incandescent headlights. That is, lighting performance, dip
to the left, cutoff, colour etc. Failing to meet these standards can result in your
not receiving your next WOF.

Because I happened to make a log while starting the car on Sunday
16V 4AGE with s/c and AE92 reduction starter. Voltage at the ECU. EWT 8 deg.
11.8 ignition ON before cranking
8.2 when starter first kicked in

Can anyone identify what engine this bell housing would have come from ? It fits the
early 20-spline T-50 with 62mm dia input shaft bearing, but it does not bolt to A-series.

Sorry... don't know anything about Honda's
But at a guess, it should either have a mechanical pump running off the camshaft
or a low pressure electrical pump (which could be out back near the fuel tank).

Assuming that it is a fuel injected engine, there will typically be a hose from
the fuel filter to the fuel rail that sits on top of the injectors. If you cannot
hear/feel the fuel pump prime when you first turn the key on, you can try
cracking the fuel hose union loose at the rail. Some fuel may ...

Most things in life involve some kind of compromise, and trumpets are no exception.
The factory has to design their trumpets to meet a lot of criteria other than maximum
performance. They can't trade off driveability, noise reduction space requirements just
to gain a couple of extra kW at 8000rpm ...

I've heard some people say long trumpets are good for both low and high end power.
The complicated theory for calculating the optimum length of intake trumpets involves
such parameters as the overall length from valve head to open end, diameter, velocity

Re: 16v 4age idle issue (prolem found)
The circulation of coolant thru the throttlebody may help prevent the throttle
icing up in much colder climates than NZ. However, its main purpose is to heat
the wax capsule that operates the AAV to assist with cold starting.

There are two holes inside the front of the throttle body. One for the idle air by-pass
screw (for adjusting idle speed) and one for the AAV (supplies extra air for cold start).
