Out of curiosity I would like to know if anyone experimented with tuning the OEM
cams in a stock 4AGZE ? The interwebz are littered with anecdotes about this or
that make of turbo / s/c engine gaining extra power/torque by advancing or retarding
the cams by a few degrees. Mainly this works by reducing overlap and preventing
boost loss to the exhaust or reversion.
But hard data is near impossible to find. And since I am running a build very close to
a smallport GZE and have adjustable cam gears, I am interested in experimenting
