Re: Do you fill up your car or do you put $XX of fuel at a t

When I was as poor as shit, the car would get $20 per week. Now I just fill them as needed.
Wagon gets 1000+kms to a tank so don't need to spend too much time filling up.
MR2 gets filled before a run.

Re: Lvv certification query

Just going off what the lvvta told me, things like bucket seats and spoilers/wings etc that have been taken off the car will just get taken off the system and plate. It was certified for 14 inch wheels but is not classed as a full recheck if I want to change them to the 16's or 17's.
It still has ...

Re: Lvv certification query

Good news is I can just get a replacement plate made if I fit the adjustables and set them to the certed height.
turns out the car had quite a bit of equipment on it in its past too  but should be sweet now most of it has been reverted back to standard.

Lvv certification query

So just failed a warrant because my car is still registered on the vtnz system as having a lvv cert for adjustable suspension and my car now has no plate and standard suspension.
The previous owner had his mechanic revert to standard and in the process the plate was removed as per what should happen ...

Re: Sw20 boost control

Stick with the EBC and get it working.

Pulling the plug for the t/vsv is much easier than cutting and plugging those hoses. Much quicker to return to stock as well.

Bring it over on the weekend and I'll have a look for you.

Just saw this post
If ya still keen to help out i will get in touch ...

Sw20 boost control

Ok this is doing my head in,
Car came with the turbosmart dual stage boost controller, no matter how often I messed with the settings, it would hit 13-15 psi once, then go back to 8-10psi.
Ended up getting a blitz duel solenoid sbc, set it to 14psi auto learn and would get 10 psi. Turning it off ...

Hell, I got dragged off at the lights by a turbo diesel mondeo recently
Granted I was only running actuator pressure (8psi) and the fords turbo sounded quite a bit louder than what they should do (guessing raised boost?)
But why stick a 25 year old engine in a new car?

Those things are hella ...

The Blue ones back end reminds me of the last of the Celicas, ZZT230. Maybe we will get a Toyota version with Celica badge?
And then add 3SGTE to complete 'Awesome' mode.

You would seriously want a 3sgte over an ej20?, man I wouldn't
3sgte would get owned by anything modern.
Hell, I got ...

Sell it and buy something that drives the proper wheels?

But didn't these cars have some kind of tech in the diff and drive shafts to reduce torque steer? Or was that just the Fords?
Could be something wrong there?

Smiths hire are your best bet, whole weekend hire for a car trailer last time I used one was $50, might have gone up since. Used one to tow our hilux home and it had plenty of room on it. They have a few to hire so i'd probably ring them.
Their number is 323 8029

Cheers for that, will check ...

Home security cameras

Bit of added security around home is a bonus, more interested in how my dog is getting hold ...

Thats because most people that want to borrow your 5 grand trailer, think they're someone entitled to because they are your friend, and so everything you have can be used for nothing / next-to-nothing.

I realise I'm coming across grumpy old man, but they are very little people I would trust with ...
