st190 - 191 dizzys compatible ?

I just bought and installed a dizzy from a st190 for a corona st191 as the wrecker said it would work. Car started for half a second ,now wont start at all. starter now turns over very fast and high pitched. Rotor moves. Obviously the dizzy or could something else be wrong ?

Hey thanks for the reply.. The car also had a new cooling system minus fans so id expect the pros to have bled that properly but i cant myself until i get the car running. I unplugged the fan sensor and switched the ignition on and the fans came on so they do work.. Im actually thinking the ...

If some kind person could unplug there water temp sensor which is next to the bolt at the end of the top hose and see if there engine starts that would narrow down the possibilities.. thanks

Should the engine be able to run without the coolant temp sensor plugged in ? Theres no spark now and a mate reckons it could be the sensor telling the ecu to shut down the engine.. make sense ?

Hi im wondering if anyone here has any tips for me so i can get my car going again.. The cars a 93 corona with the 3sfe engine. Last week i sent the car in to get a new cambelt ,idler ,tensioner ,all the seals + waterpump and other maintenance things.. I left auckland for wellington which went fine ...

For the record ,there was never a service or workshop manual for these cars so i have no where to look myself. And i'm not to keen to pay a auto sparky to hook up 2 or 3 wires :?

Someone stole the whole stereo with stereo surround including the hazard / demister switches ,clock ,heater vents ect

I would really like indicators before work on monday morning so could some kind person please have a look at there st191 corona and tell me what colour the wires are for the ...

Made a wicked differance on my old s14 silvia anyway. Noticed a great reponse when pumping the gas pedal and changing gears.. They are good.

Any cold air is better than shit loads of hot air. As long as you have cold air feed you will be fine. Use some flexi air conditioning piping ,its cheap as and works great!
