i had the exact same problem with my blacktop sr20det.. after running mint it was parked up.. first time i drove it it ran sweet, the next day didnt run so good then worse and worse as time went on.. for a while it ran mint for the first 5 mins then after that it started running like crap ...

I was told putting the 1300 would be cheaper than putting in a supercharged engine and making a ze a te apparently costs alot.. I've seen a couple of engines already turbo'd for sale, round $1500 arent they?

I have a ae85 levin and have been wondering what engine to use.. the plan was 4agze but i'd rather a turbo over a supercharger (noise, lag, top end power, other cool things turbos have over superchargers) but as toyota doesn't make a 1600 turbo engine i thought of using the 1300 turbo from a gt ...

Does this engine fit? how much cutting/modification to the engine bay will have to be done? I saw on serious performance 7 a dude with a ae85 trueno with a 3sge and his engine bay didn't look to be cut in anyway.
would it be cheaper in terms of power vs. cost to put the 3sgte instead of the 4age ...

1st option - 4AGZE Engine, T50 Gearbox, Driveshaft, Hilux rear dif and Supra brakes.. then also how much to take the supercharger off at a later date and put on a turbo, say GT-S Mr2 ...
