Tints

Postby Rivit » Mon Nov 28, 2005 12:56 pm

hey, I got my glass tinted at tint a car (midnight express) and after receiving the glass back and not being happy with the job i wanted to ask some questions..
Before i took the glass away i expressed that i wasn't satisfied to one of the guys there and he also went and got another guy (presumably higher position) to come have a look too..
basically there's what looks like tiny air bubbles, hundreds of them on the windows, the guy said it could be due to the age of the glass but the windows were tinted previously (home job) and i didn't notice any bubbles like that (granted i wouldn't have been looking). he tried to squeeze them out but they wouldn't come out, he also said it could be some dirt, i asked if he cleaned the window before he tinted it and he replied 'of course', he recommended i leave it to set for at least a couple of weeks and see if it goes away.. according to a work mate who knows lots of stuff about lots of stuff nothing sticks to glass bar a couple of things (acids etc). if it was a home job for the price of tints and a mate to do it i'd expect a result like this but not for $220 at a professional place.
anyways, any input would be appreciated, ta

it usually takes a few days in the sun for the very small bubbles to go completely

if there not gone by then end of the week

take it back and ask to see the manager and explain what your problem is and if theres something they cando about it
Nothing to see here ...
