Just bumping this up for those who are interested. The cars going and got wof and reg. Just finishing off the rear deck lid (over the external) and w/a intercooler plumbing and wiring. That engine bay filled up really fast! Going to be running it in this weekend and then off to the dyno if all goes well. Only thing wrong is that it sounds like a toilet refilling all the time. Good news is no leaks. Cant wait to stick a big block of ice in the resiviour. Heres a sneak peak.

You must have the mad dodgy wof place if you can get a wof with a wastegate venting directly to atmosphere! 8O

It wasnt there at the time. I got a muffler made up for it too. All legal. I'll see how it goes. It'll be all covered and out of sight. You wont even know its there......untill I anti-lag it.

sorry if this sounds stupid, half asleep. you've got the external venting to atmosphere? wouldn't this not be a problem as it's classed as an exhaust opening, and it's behind the passenger compartment? same sort of theory as gadgets side pipes on the mk4, they're behind the rearmost opening to the passenger compartment, and therefore not a problem?

I cant see a problem. I also have side pipes. This went through cert with side pipes. The external "is" behind the passenger compartment, unlikely to pose a risk of the "exhaust gasses entering the passenger compartment". It exits the perimeter of the vehicle.
Sure it can be classed as a non muffled exhaust, but thats why I got a "very small" muffler for it. The wof guy is very unlikely to ever get it open. (will, he'd have to be doing some very crazy brake testing to get to open!) :)
