new pb time

Well i got the chance to race today at the v8 nats, so racing against v8s but the only problem we found was i was hitting my rev limiter about 40meters before the finishing line so was slowing me down, anyway i ran 10.1 three times in a row at different speed any were from 130mph 135mph and 139mph the speed on my rev limiter should be 145mph, but my half track speed was good 119mph that around 190kmph at 6.4sec half track, so i have the task now to try to fix this rev limiter problem before the next drag meet, my rev limiter at the moment is set at 7800rpm i was thinking about moving it to 8500rpm and hope that should be enough to get me into the 9sec club, but it was good to drive there and to be the only import in my class that run pump gas do some 10.1sec passes then drive home were all the v8 in my class were running race gas and all were trailered.

As soon as we can sort out are rev limiter problem we will be into the 9s and for this season my goal is a 9.5sec run.

Top effort, well done. I think Croydens were on race gas? I'm not sure if there are any 9s "imports" in NZ running pump fuel...

Wow, awesome job.... get it on some race gas and remove the rev limiter, then it should go a lot faster!
Cheers,

what diff you running john? can probably raise the limiter another 500-1k, but that wouldn't gain you that much by the end of the track, and if you're already hitting it as it is, by the time you use nos as well, just raising the limiter may not help you enough.

Change your diff ratio and then use the nos to compensate, then you would be in the 140s mph maybe hit 150 8)

My car already max out at about 145mph and it was like hitting a brick wall thats why it was dropping my speed any were from 130mph up to 138mph i need to get around 155mph, looking at my half track speed that was 119mph i should been close to 150mph.
