I'll register and pay once I get my car run and and tuned with the new turbo.
Also to fix my oil pump issues, but have plenty of time before this track day.

I dont want to miss another one!! + these ones have some mean cars!! last time there was an R35 doing 1.06s.

No no you're doing it wrong. You're supposed to per pay without your car going so you get motivated to get your car goin. Like me :)

Registered yet?

I'm starting to panic - with just on 1 month to go, I haven't even got my rotors let alone caliper brackets made. Plus I need to make some heat shields for my brake master cylinder....

umm i've still got to run in my engine fully, should be done this weekend with a drive down to hamilton, then dyno tune is next saturday.

Also gota fix my oil pump issues (that should be done by next week before the dyno tune)

After that gona install a half cage the weekend after, so gives me 1 week left free to do some mucking around with wheel alignments, painting cage, making up spare drive shafts etc.

I'll pay only after its run in and put on the dyno.

What the? Spare driveshafts? HAHA - most people take spare brake pads, fluids and tyres - but spare driveshafts just sounds funny....although maybe I should've taken a spare cambelt last time :P

I hope you get everything done man - I'd like to see your car going round the track and past me :)

Car has a habit of F****ing up inner CVs on the track. I grease them with Redline CV grease which makes them last alot longer than normal cv grease. Also tends to split the boots often. Really annoying! I need to find some better boots made from some sort of fibre or something, not just cheap rubber.

You wont see me pass you, will just be a blur on your incar camera :D

That is pretty strange that your CV boots fail - as I wouldn't have thought there'd be any more stress on the boot than a lower powered car?

haha - yeah yeah - just because you're 100kw more and 400kg less :P

Heat + centrifugal force on grease at high speed = busted boots?

Yes thats what I think it is. I actually install a split pin under neath the boot before I clamp it on. To re leave some pressure on the inside. Def helps alot.

I think my gearbox must generate lots of heat with the power. transfers it to the input CV. + the torque out of the corners from a turbo engine.

Pff no way do I use 330kw at the track! lol.

I use 15-19psi so around 240-280kw

Provides a breathing gap for the CV boot. Between the shaft and where you clamp over the boot.

Do you ever split the boots on the dyno? It would be interesting to put a camera under the car during a dyno run and see how much the cv boots actually expand at high speed.

Never split any at the drags or the dyno. Only ever since I started doing circuit.
