my caldinas theoretical top speed 265kph!

110kph ~ 3000rpm in 5th

however i seem to perfer driving in 3rd and 4th so that the revs are slightly higher ;)

in 50k zones im almost always in 3rd, cruising in a 80+ zone would be in 5th

No I don't, it's still 1.8 of a tank from empty, and then once it reaches empty the light comes on and it does another 70 odd km :P

hay this was very similar to my soarer, except when you had just filled it up it had 70 odd km left, not like yours from empty :P

Nah, I think mine used to sit at about 2800rpm in 4th

my corolla used to sit at about 4500rpm

I actually wish the 6th gear in mine was a wee bit longer, say 100kph @ 2500rpm. Mite be a bit cheaper on gas. :D

I hear ya Chelles! My vt4k Honduh does 3800 at 100km/h, which sounds damn hard on the motor, but I'm used to it now. It seems very high, but then, the redline is 7000rpm, which is also peak torque, and limits at 8200rpm.

About 2700 @ 100 in the AW11. Sadly that's with higher profile than standard tires on the back, so I'll probably loose a bit of economy when I put proper tires on it.

My ae86 does around 3500rpm@ 100km/h
TE71 3100rpm @100km/h

both at 5th gear 185/60 14 tyres

I think mainly AE86 got 4.3:1 final diff ratio and TE71 got 4.1:1

my phat ae82 corolla sedan with 4a motor and smooth auto gear box does 3000rpm at 100kmh in drive. has worse fuel economy than my gtz and costs just as much to fill up on cheeper 91.

My ST205 does 100 at 2600rpm, although I think my rolling diameter may be out by 2 or 3%. When going past those trailers that tell you your speed they seem to read either 51 or 52 with the needle exactly lined up with 50. Not that you get up to 50 much round the Wellington CBD

yeah, I'm running 195/65R14 on the back, so I've got a bit more rubber to turn.

http://www.csgnetwork.com/tireinfo4calc.html

Don't forget the original AW11 tire was 185/60/14. So if you compare mine with that then there's quite a difference. According to that calculator you speedo would have an 8 km/h difference to mine. And with original tires I would have a 12 km/h difference from standard. If I understand it correctly, the aspect ratio is a percentage of the width of the tire. Therefore changing both the aspect ratio and the width would result in this bigger difference.
