i think its funny that people go and watch this sort of thing, egg it on and then whine about the consequences.

lucky the trees over the fence didn't catch fire, those look like skyline rims so don't think its a legacy unless they put on 5x114.3 hubs 8O

Yeah, its an RS. Cam gears are clearly visible on the passenger side of the engine bay, plus its' got the bonnet vent and ducting pipe for the turbo, and they're factory RS rims, not GTSt rims..

Its' odd, it doesn't look that serious enough to start a fire. Smash up suspension maybe, or bend a hot exhaust onto something combustable? But hey, its' an RS Legacy, its' probably stolen. :)

Yeah, it's definitely a Legacy, was also for sale not so long ago.

And it'll be interesting to find out if the car was reported stolen before or after it caught on fire

Think it's more just ash transfer from the ground, don't recall seeing them on the initial inspection

You can also see the bonnet scoop is burnt out. So it is a Legacy.

Hell, people need to look at bonnet scoops and engine details? You can tell from the shape of (what's left) of the car! lol

I like those, pity anyone I bought would either spend its life on blocks or get nicked really...

Mike- wrote:looks like the gangsta lean on the seats wouldnt have helped much controlling the car at high speed, haha i can see the little shits now, leaning right back with one hand on the top of the steering wheel

unless the fire broke the mech and they just fell back like that

Gotta say, I have to agree with this point. Gangsta lean, as you put it, is entirely stupid IMHO. When I drive I want field of view and instant access to the important controls... I've never understood the 'low rider' thing, it's like people want to appear short...

Those pics tell one hell of a story, thanks for posting them!
