pfft quit ya whinging you oldies, were all going to put letters where we want,

from what i can see on this forum, when somebody says 4a-ge turbo it usually means they've slapped a turbo on a bluetop,
whereas 4a-gte means they've got the semi-notreally-whocares-forged pistons

and revhead, we live in a fast paced world, theres no time to stop and say 'four aye gee eee', personally im trying to go one better and get 'frage' to catch on, dont you love the sound of 'frage turbs' :D

I'm sick of kiddies saying "I've built a 4A-GTE"

Seriously, WTF is a 4A-GTE, it tells me NOTHING about the internals of the engine except it's from a 4A-G family, is it a GZE? or did you turbo the N/A Block?

STOP MAKING UP YOUR OWN ENGINE CODES.

I'm fine with people calling it 4A-GE Turbo'd
Or 4A-GZE Turbo'd

Not 4A-GTE or 4A-G(T)E. and certainly not a 4A-GZTE.

Seriously a big W.T.F

Saying they have a 4A-GE tells you nothing about its internals either, so why would calling it a 4A-GTE be any different ;)
