Since when? How come this hasn't been publicised?

I didnt even get off one when I got radared and they couldnt even show me the speed figure on the radar!

If your last name is spelt wrong then it's not your name is it? So the cop has issued a ticket to someone with a similar name to you.
At the end of the day, if you speed, you ARE breaking to law, so should be prepared to pay the fine. I've been fortunate to get off a couple in my time.

WHAT!!!
You can demand to see the radar reading and the current calibration of the radar gun. They should be able to produce it. That seems dodge to me.
I got asked if I wanted to see the radar reading when I got pulled over.
Having said that, if they can't, it'll come down to your word over his/hers, as to the speed you were doing. The police officer obviously would be the winner in most cases there.

This happenned to me, My last name is Roskruge, they spelt it Roskrudge,
Another time they wrote my licence number wrong, both times i wrote a letter, more or less saying how could that be me, what if it was someone else and I was getting fined, this could lead to many problems and you guys should sort out the accyracy of tickets.etc.
Got a response, pretty much said the officer has made a small mistake, still valid ticket.
After that I wasnt fussed about paying it, I mean I was speeding and shouldnt have been. I tried to get out of it and couldnt.
Needless to say fines were hurting my wallet so made a more conscious effort to keep to speed limits.
These were infringements for 10 - 20km over the limit so nothing huge, but hey still illegal innit.

40k over is close enough, especially if its something stupid like road works where the road works are finished and have been for weeks, but the contractor has forgotten to pick them up, or the signs are hidden behind cars or trees etc. Or they've changed the speed limit on a road you drive regularly & you haven't noticed

So the cop cant just go round with the radar showing 122 issuing everyone with that speed.
Dunno if its true, cant remember where I heard / who told me that but the story with it went that the guy got pulled over and he reckoned he may have been doing 110 or what ever and the cop was trying to ping him for 122. Turned out the last ten or so tickets issued were all for 122 and the cop was taking the piss.

Im pretty sure this is true. the postie drivers always asked to see the gun and the cert and if its not a current cert you DONT have to pay the fine.
And how are they supposed to fine someone if they spelt the last name wrong thats just utter BS it could be anyone. My middle name is peter and on the ticket it is joseph you cant say thats is a slight spelling error!!!
