ST202 and tanabe springs advice please

Postby Cubix » Sun Mar 05, 2006 2:27 pm

Hi, anyone tried to put on a set of Tanabe DF210 springs on to a 98' SSIII celica? How was it? What was the ride like? How low did it go? Do you still have the 10cm legal clearance from the road? How much did it cost?

Any suggestions to what other springs I should get instead? Again, what was the ride like? How much lower was it? People have suggested TRD, but I'd like to know answers to the above questions.

I've tried a search but I wasn't able to find answers I was looking for, so if anyone has any info it would be greatly appreciated.

the tanabe would lower the car 50-60mm.

For everyday driving, I suggest Teins. lowers 1.5inches in front and 1 inch in the rear and will balance out the car.

./edit actually, since you have superstrut... not sure if tein would be an option.

See if the Tein S Tech is avaliable for your car. I am using it myself (on an AE111), very comfortable ride and hard enough for street driving.

Note I am not the person who is selling these, just found it on trademe.

I bought mine through FBI performance in Auckland a year ago, for abit more than what the guy is asking for on trademe. The Tein springs are progressive rate, the harder they are compressed, the harder the spring is, hence slightly more comfortable than fixed rate ones.

Don't know anything about the TRD springs.
