Torque Performance Dyno day

Postby sergei » Sat Sep 02, 2006 11:54 am

Hi, just came back from TP dyno day.
I had my ST165 there... here is the result:
Image

I assume I would get more power with 18psi (I was running 16psi because I was not sure of A/F ratio).
Oh and boost curve is funny becuase I dropped the boost slightly on the last moment (well actually I have dropped the scramble / gain setting to very low)..

I left earlier (as I was second in the queue), has anyone from toyspeed been there?

What turbo are you running? Looks a tad laggy there.

AF's all over the place. The boost up top is dipping, what boost controller?
No "stance", no "hellaflush", none of that bullshit. Nothing but no grip on full boost.

BLITZ DSBC Spec-R. As I stated I've messed up the settings before dyno (as I don't want to blow it up on the first dyno run, as I built it myself and spent lots of evenings in the garage for this)
I've just had a look at your dyno plot, and the power curve is very similar to mine, if take in account that I have 4WD your car used to make about same power at the engine as mine.
BTW your A/F curve is even more all over the place.

Steelwheeled? Mine was similar to that, though mine was running on maps set for a near stock motor + turbo.

Cool, a bit more power to be had there by fiddling with the boost control then :D

Yeah my AF is a bit shocking. It does get steady after it has about 12psi of boost on mine tho.

Your graph looks like it's on the rich side, dipping to nearly 10.5AF
Oh well, get it fixed and go back to dyno.

I was surprized with result as is, I expected to be somewhere ~160kW...
Don't forget this is an ST165 with 200k original engine...
with 440cc injectors I was thinking it might go lean on me, but it did not, which is a good thing...
