Speaking of the 80's celicas, would this be a good/cheap project if ya ditched the IS-U and the slushbox? ... http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=87271183

On the firewall plate, there will be a code like F293 of T302 or whatever. The last digit, the 2, 3, 4, or 5 indicates LSD or not. Basically, odd numbers are LSD, evens are non-LSD.

Also the backing plate of the diff 'may' have a sticker stating "LSD oil only".

if your lucky to have an ma61 rear innit ( IRS - F series diff i think ) you can get a true trak center for them from the states , and possibly local form 4wd shops that will go into them ..

I believe toymods in OZ are having a group buy for them , or were organising them ..

I know my ma61 Supra thats still in Australia has a factory LSD , that still works lovely after 23 years !

what did they put it down on?
to be fair, you would be hard pressed to get a good report on something with 260k 25 years old. they listed it as having some rust, which is not unusual, but gets frowned upon bad in checks.
But if its something like compression etc thats fair enough
Cant believe im still a member here.
