It almost same as fuel magnets, air "tornado" thingies, fuel star canister thing, exhaust whistles and spinners...

You can get alot of problems with poor earthing, and for the price of those kits why wouldnt you install one?
I ran one in the supra before and didnt have it hooked up like they have in the pics, rather just earthing important parts, like battery to chassis, chassis to block, chassis to afm, chassis to coils, etc.

Well I've got an 84 MR2 and the wiring is fine. I guess that's up to the condition of the car.
I SO don't think that $150 or what ever those things go for is worth it. If you're worried about your earthing I"m sure $20 from an electrical supplies shop would do the same job.
Just strikes me as another way of scamming boy racers out of their hard earned. Anybody got dyno plots for one of these devices?

A couple engine to chssis (pendint on ur factory ones) and batt to chassis can be worth while but not a $150 kit that just puts rice amounts of wire in the enginebay

Ah, in that case I can agree with you. A $35 kit that has all the wires made up is not a bad idea if you decide you need more earth cause it saves all the hassle of putting them together.
But the voltage stabilizer kits, are definately a waste of money IMO.
Don't scoff too hard. Some time ago I saw a car mag do a back to back with a ground wiring kit, and on that particular car they picked up about 5hp (about 7% on that car I think).bluemaumau wrote:but what about the 10hp..................
