I've just bought myself a bigger truck to fit the race car and spares in. Unfortunately I don't understand how to run half the features and wondered if someone could possibly translate for me.

rings commercal autos in hamilton they import alot of izuzu's and parts into nz and are dam helpful with service info and owners manuals etc

First pic looks like it might be how you engage the 2nd ratio of a gear? Pull up that ring on the shifter and change gear, and see what happens.

that 1st one could be a hi/low ratio shifter as someone else said thatd be my guess

I've got it - the buttons are:

A century gun is pointing at a robot/cylon who's standing next to a fan in the wall and a rubbish shoot which is next to some guy slam dunking a basket ball.....

It's a 7 speed with no split shift (at least I dont think it has split shift). The ring on the shifter is sprung return and I'd guess it's for a reverse lockout, only it doesnt lockout reverse. Perhaps they used the same shifter universally, and it actually works on the 6 speed?

It's a 10.5 ton truck... unloaded. Driven by a 12.5 ltr turbo engine. I doubt it needs sentry guns. It's more of a point and drive over type of device.
Rubbish chute? I think the only thing I could dump out the back is either race car spares or the contents of the mini bar.... both indispensible.

from experience the first shifter one is probably the mechanism to detach shifter so you can flip the cab.

2nd and 3rd engine heat? & exhaust brake ? (at a guess my translator is not present)

Shifter ring is sprung loaded, as such you can't hold it while tilting the cab (which is bloody cool.... electro pneumatic)
Engine heat is a possibility, although I thought it glowed from ACC on.
Exhaust brake is as per most trucks on the LHS steering column stalk.
They're also stick on lables so I wouldnt think they would be standard truck functions. Perhaps some addon for the gullwing power or pneumatics? A PTO function? In cab seat heaters? I have no idea!

small trucks i've driven have the ring, ya pull it up and flip the stick forward, goes horizontal.

most JDM trucks were fitted with engine heaters as well as std glow plugs, for extreme cold conditions pre-heating block

Just found out what the ring is for.... it's for lanky barstards like myself. It repositions the lever forward and aft to allow for taller/shorter drivers. It doesnt disengage the linkage, just allows you to shift the lever to somewhere easier to change gear.

Was also wondering why HSA was off (and button in the in position)... until I discovered what the hell it was! I won't be using that in a hurry.

Yeah all that ring does is either reposition the lever or for trucks without sleeper allows you to fold it down so you can sleep across the seats I think probably for small asians though haha.

As for two buttons no idea, could be various things, trailer lights, exterior lights, diff lock, what sort of body does it have on it, alot of ex Japan box body vehicles were refrigerated units so could be buttons that were for switching cooler on. Also on my Fuso Fighter got a couple of random buttons like that I'm pretty sure for as you said hill start assistance etc but not really sure how to make them work properly lol. I know you said exhaust brake is on the LH stick but a couple of trucks at my work also have a button to switch them off completely, random purpose but yeah haha, just have a play around and see what happens I guess!

They don't appear to do anything... however they are wired and live!
The box body is a gullwing and the wings function electro-hydrolically with the buttons on or off. It would also appear that this gullwing body was hurredly placed on the cab chassis after shipment from Japan so might even have been buttons appropriate to the previous deck/box.

Anyone genuinely able to translate?

I've now got to repeat the task, after failing on the Hino I now have to wire a Stereo on the Isuzu!!!

It's one of those weird arse 6x2's with twin steer. But has a second twin drive bogy in the box for installation at some point in time.
