The Tezza's Dead!!!

Dave texted me around lunchtime to say that his car was on the side of the road and would not start. It had started to run really rough and then had died, it wouldn't idle for more than 5 or 10 seconds before dying.

I gave him a ring and asked more info on the problem. No smell of unburnt gas out the back so that would seem to rule out ignition or timing issues to some degree so that would leave the fuel. Unable to hear the fuel pump running and the AA guy was on his way so I left him to it. Good thing he had bought mechanical insurance on friday.

yeah well, I would have thought it was out of gas too, except that it did start, and did idle(in a way) for damn near 10 seconds...

Oh well, handy to know anyway, would have been handier to know before I ran out of gas.

I do tend to drive things fairly hard... I figure that I'm only going to own it for 3-4 years tops, so it doesn't really matter to me... pity the next owner though :/
