I would't recommend opening a gearbox, unless you know what you're doing. Its probably the most complicated mechanical part of the car, I've taken a K50 and a fwd (CG) Honda box apart, and never managed to get them back together, and I've rebuilt my fair share of motors.. theres too many parts and too much stuff to go wrong!
My advice would be to just find someone with a 2T and chuck it in, it only takes half an hour in a TE71... and then go for a huss!
