Blitz Super Sound BOV

Postby Lanius » Fri Oct 29, 2004 5:16 pm

noobie question  ... anyone know if the sound these make is adjustable? The one on my engine currently makes that fluttery sound instead of a straight expulsion:

(Eg: "psssh-ssh-sh-sh" vs "psshhhh" )

If anyone knows how to adjust it, please let me know! I'm guessing it something to do with the screw / bolt on the top of the BOV, as there are no other moving parts on it? (see pic - screw is circled in red):

yup the circled nut is the adjustor.

From memory I think ya need to loosen off the nut and then you can adjust the lil screw that goes into it. Once adjusted, re tighten that nut.

Screwing it in will make it harder to blow off so more squarky chicken sound, possibly even compressor surge if too tight.

Loosening it will make it vent more easy and more of a single pshhh sound (i think). Dont go too loose otherwise may leak at idle. Just play around with it and you'll soon get the sound ur after.
