Squealing

Any1 one know why every time I turn left in my sw20 it makes a weird squealing noise but when I turn right it doesn't any Ideas ???

Like belt slippage noise? Check how tight the power steering pump belt is

Are you talking full lock for the noise to occur?. Could be something to do with the return feed from that side of the p/s

yeah something to do with the PS belt? but then you would tink it would do the same when you turn the other way too . . . ?

as far as Im aware MR2's run on an electric motor in the front so there are no powersteering belts thats whats got me baffled

Is it only while moving or does it happen when you're stationary as well.

And yes, MR2's have electric power steering... If they have it

it's when I am moving and only around 50-60 km/h does it both ways now left and right and its any slight turn

im having the same probs, gonna remove the power steering belt to try and isolate the prob, have u had any luck with it?

SW20 do not have a power steer pump.
SW20 do not have a power steer belt.

yah mr2 have electro-hydraulic power steering


they have an electrically controlled pump in the front of the car

Yeah it's really weird it's not a really loud sound it's quite faint really and seems to me coming from the back of the car ????? Im :?
