Anyone like to hazard a gues on my question? re: why the rotors are coated in teflon to start off with if they dont touch?

Because of the heat it produces compressing the air is my guess

Yes, the roots compression method has the worst adiebatic efficiency out of all the common compressing methods (As far as cars go)
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.
