Severely low reset leaves in the back, and superlow Kings in the front (compressed another 30-40mm) with aftermarket shorter shocks all round. Easy.

Take the suspension out altogether, sit it on the chassis rails. Clearance is overrated...

Im about to lower my KE25 as well on 15" Simmons, anyone know if you can buy shortened shocks off the shelf??
from what ive herd you cant get super low king springs for a 25 so should i just buy low king springs & get them compressed or chop a coil off or what?

Cheers

Compressed, don't chop unless you absolutely have to, and aftermarket shorter shocks should'nt be hard to come by.

Springs, who needs 'em? ;) Bumpstops work fine!

If you don't need springs, you don't need bumpstops, why stop all that extra drop?

If you want to go stupidly illegal low, just take the rear leaves out, and flip them upside down, and maybe cut bumpstops.. but I don't see the point, as 17's would rub like a bitch, and you'd chassis would last about 2 weeks before being ground off!

If you want to do it decently, to a certifiable degree, just get a bit of wood and some u-bolts made up, stick them on the leaves, chop the wood until you get the desired height, take the block to an engineering shop, and get them to make up a metal version, thats the back.. then get some Kings (if you can find them!) or standard ones compressed, take the shock into an engineer, get him to rethread the strut lower. Gives you much less travel, but it's certifiable, I've seen cars with worse get cert! :D

Don't get kings, they are WAY to soft!

Get some custom ones made up, since you won't have $&#$% all suspension travel get some about 175 lbs and then get some good shocks, and you';ll have to get them shortnened.

Spent heaps of time going through shocks catalouges to sort this out. some of the shortest I found for the rears are hilux fronts Ill have to check what the exact chassis code is. I dont know the diameter of ke25 front shocks but aw11 prefacelift rears work in the kp61 and ae92 shocks in the ae86. Shortening fronts is cheap anyways.

have u seen mikes ke36, 'RX36' the green 13b turbo wagon thats like my dream car lol. hes pretty much semi tubbed the rear end of that, 4 linked a hilux diff. so maybe u need to get the gas a raise the chassis rails so u can slam it even more.

if you want low hard springs,

snells springs in auckland make springs

and for coilover-type springs their price was cheaper than an off the shelf item (like kings) and you can choose the spring rate and height of spring

ke70wagon: i run hilux shocks, kyb code on GD website.

i ran 7 leaves in the rear with blocks.
17" wheels are stupid, too big to go low, and won't follow shape of guard.

your only hope is to add extra leaves and reset the pack (or get blocks), and run stiff shocks.
then the back will be stiff but won't bottom out everywhere on every bump.

front, you want at least 300lbs if you're going that low.
175lb is only 3kg.
