Mojask,

I guess it would come down to how you intend to use your car, what you want to achieve and your budget.

At about $200 a set TRD leads probably aren't much more expensive than the Genuine Toyota leads.
But, unlike other brands, TRD don't make the claim that their leads will improve power, just that they will deliver the optimum spark under harsh conditions.
Are you ever likely to encounter harsh enough conditions for this to become a factor. Probably not.

I've seen some brands' advertising claiming 5hp or sometimes 5% power gains from using their 8 or 8.5mm leads. I've not seen this demonstrated in practice and would be more than a little sceptical.

Size alone isnt a huge factor, I tested a set of Top Gun 8mm's against 5mm Bosh Super Sports. On one particular lead the 8mm's had 6 ohm of resistance, and on a lead slightly longer the 5mm had only 2 ohm of resistance.

Assuming your motor isnt overly modified I would definately go with the TRD leads. Maybe even Bosh for a slightly cheaper option.

I dont have any experience with MSD leads however.

Genuine leads. You wont make anymore power with the other two. All you require is a reliable spark.

Genuine leads wont be as expensive as you expect. Email Mr Revhead for a good deal.

I priced up some leads from Ripco the other day at $160! I think genuines are around $100
