Ae101 Fuses

Postby lotstodo » Fri Nov 11, 2005 5:43 pm

Can someone tell me which fuse is for the central locking/electric windows in a trueno ae101? It all stopped working, i know i have a dodgy switch and am picking up a new one but the central locking normally worked... Could it be something else other than the switch or fuse?

Cheers.

If it's a fuse then the fuse box cover that you take off will tell you on the inside which fuse is for what. Just turn the cover around and have a look inside...

Which one's did you look at?

The one in the driver side kick panel will have the fuses you are looking for...

Same problem here, and the label on the box doesnt help at all. There is nothing related to ethier of the locking nor windows/sunroof.

Did you find it?

Have a thorough search on the Internet...somewhere there will/should be a picture of the sticker that should be on the inside of the fusebox as a reference.

I found all the Soarer ones on the net easy peasy so I suspect for a 101 it should be even easier since allot more people have them...?

If its the fues then why dont you just take out all the fuses in that fuse box until you find a blown one and replace it. If there is no fuse blown then the problem lies elsewhere

if your swithc is $&#$% then it probally wont work as in normally dosent work without it pluged in, even when you can use other things like your key to unlock all the doors if the switch isnt pluged in they dont work

so maby you just need a new switch

nah, it will still work without switch. My alarm is wiring directly into the central locking not far below the switch, and to figure out the wiring i had it all to peices and the switch off, and it would still lock and unlock by ethier the alarm, or shorting to pins from the switch plug with a screwdriver. So theres simply no power getting there.

I did eventually find it (or the auto electician did) it was up under the dash, way up... it was just a $10 fuseable link.

Damit, i was kinda hoping it wasnt a silly fuse in the middle of nowhere.
Thanks for that though, save me tracing it back that far.

Found it, its about 10cm above in-cabin fuse box. I don't know what its meant to look like, cause mine was a really rangy *lets make a fuse from a mini blade fuse and solder two wirers to it and jam it in the sockets*....

But its all good now.

For future reff, its not the manuel nor labeled....
