Supra CT26 on ST165

Postby sergei » Tue Dec 27, 2005 11:13 pm

Hi, will Supra CT26 turbo will bolt on instead of ST165 CT26?
Will it have any gains on high end as with ST165 CT26 it does not go very well above 5000rpms...
What Supra model had CT26 - MA70?

Yes and yes again.
The supra turbo has a larger compressor wheel, and an internally larger exhaust housing. You just need to put all the bits from your turbo (oil, water lines, actuator) onto the Supra turbo, and rotate the compressor housing (and maybe the exhaust housing too) into the same positions as the st165 turbo. Everything should bolt on

Any 7M-GTE engine has the turbo you want, so that's MA70 supras, MZ2? soarers etc.

supra ct26 will not bolt up to a celica manifold. had that problem when trying to fit a celica ct26 to my supra a few years back, bolts tot he manifold are different. 10k_20v knows more about it than i do, as he did it, if he remembers it (real sorry about the hassles with that car ewan   )

I'm sorry but I think you'll find that's wrong. People have put them onto both single entry and twin entry 3S-GTE's many times before

there's a few guys on mr2oc.com using the supra turbo, with the supra exhaust housing, on sw20 turbos, with stock manifolds. One guy who's doing quite well with it reckons that if you put the 165 and supra exhaust housings side by side you can see the port is larger on the supra one.

The twin entry exhaust housings also fit onto the supra turbo
