Amature planning a 3sgte swap

well Question 1. can i see where the engine no is stamped on a sw20 while the engine is still in the car? where is it?
well Question 2. i have a good head( 1111188383)off a celica i think? will this bolt straight onto a MR2 3SGTE short block (9101816MR2)
well Question 3 , if that works will this combo fit straight in and run an (1992 sw20 0068265,sw20AJMZZ this is the car im tryn to find the position of the block number)

If you pop the engine cover and lift it there should be a tag on the inside with the Engine code etc printed on it.

I'm no expert here but it should be stamped on the block.
Where exactly on the block however I don't know. Ask one of the better knowing 3S boiz on here...

yip your no expert but neither am i.what side of the engine would do ?My engine is stuffed, it is in the car still .There is an engine for sale with the block number9101816. if i can find my block number , i can Then find out if they are the same blockjust trying not to make mistakes lol. i wanna buy this short block :D but i want to know its same Gen as mine before i drive 18 hours to pick it up

any 3s block shoud fit, i have a 1997 caldina block on my 89gt4. there are 2 different blocks i know of which is where i had problems the fwd and 4wd block, the 4wd hav more clerance for the gearbox. the mr2 might be slightly different again but i doubt it.
