Does it go straight down or bounce up and down and then die? Have you checked for water leaks?

And what do ya mean by the battery power goes down at the same time?

could be something like alternator not supplying enough power to the fuel pump or something?

are you jump starting it initially?

sounds like it could be the alternator. Is your battery going flat? having trouble starting?

idle. idle.. IDLE. :)

ya it bounces up and down. dont have any water leaks had my cooling system and the head gasket changed about 6 months ago. for the battery it lose power. i have a factory voltmeter on the dash. the needle on the voltmeter points just below the 18v.

If you mean the voltmeter reads low at 500rpm, thats prety normal. They need a few revs before they start to work. It should read between 13.5 - 14.5V at about 2000 rpm.
Im not sure what engine you have but i have the same prooblem with my bmw at idle. I know (in my case) its the idle control valve at fault but they want an arm and a leg for a new one.
Maybe give your throttle body a clean out.

Ok, a few other things you might want to give a try looking at...

1). IACV (Idle solenoid)
2). Fuel pump filter
3). A Dodgy earth
4). Faulty thermostat
5). Spray some carb cleaner into the TB

In my old Fiat Bravo, believe it or not, i spent hundreds trying to fix this and it ended up being faulty wiring for the immobiliser.

Hope this helps
