SC12 on N/A 4AGE AE92 FXGT???

Postby Crampy » Sun Jun 04, 2006 5:24 pm

Hi all. I've got an AE92 FXGT. It's got a 16V TVIS 4AGE in it.

The air con pump has $hit itself, so was wondering if I could put an SC12 in it's place.

I'm guessing it'd be running quite low boost maybe 5psi or so.
Can this be run with the standard computer and injectors?

I have a few things that might help. I've got a SAFC II that could be used to adjust fuel to suit. How about a rising rate fuel pressure reg? Would that be needed? Also, would I need to get 4AGZE injectors?

I've heard of people turboing their standard NA 4AGE and getting good gains. I'm only after a lil more power (more down low bang) and would like to give this idea a go.

Any thoughts/comments/ideas would be apreciated.

Cheers.

I replied to your pm

safc's suck, fpr's suck, unless its a FMU type. I have one.

Basically go turbo, then realise you want more power, and spend 970 on a link.

By the look of things, going turbo is the easiest. I still find it hard to believe I can turbo and not need to change anything like injectors and computer etc (well as long as i keep boost low)

Now all I need is well everyhting to get it done. How hard is it modify the sump for an oil return and get an oil feed for the turbo? What else do I need? Hmmm, turbo, intercooler. Yep, sounds good, I'll be getting onto it soon as.
