Differences in 4K engine mounts

Postby matt dunn » Sun Jun 25, 2006 11:40 pm

Are Starlet 4K engine mounts and KE70 corolla 4K engine mounts the same? Can you use starlet mounts on a corolla?

Also anyone have a KE70 5 speed gearbox crossmember for sale?

From memory (it was a few years ago), I dropped the 4K from a KE70 straight into my KP61 without swapping mounts. However I did have problems putting a 3K in as the lower deck height caused my custom extractors to hit the engine mount.

I know for a fact ke20 and 30 mounts are the same so i can't see any reason for it to be different in a 70, they came out with 4k's standard didn't they?? No to many engine sereis that i know of that change mounts half way through the range apart from 4g63's when they turned the motors around :)
