im looking at buying a ke70 rolla wagon with a 3t motor in does it need to have a cert for the different motor in it or is it sweet without it

If it's not the original motor then yes, it needs cert.

Yes it will need to be certed. You might get away with it wof-wise, but if you have a prang...no insurance for you

how much does it cost for a cert, coz the guy said that it doesnt need a cert coz that same shape and year wagon came out with that motor

Biggest load of rubbish ever, he's just tying to sell you a car. When the factory puts a bigger motor in they also generally put in bigger brakes, stiffer springs, stronger diff, different proportioning valve etc etc. Its not a matter of just dropping the motor in. Did they swap the front crossmember or just make new mounts? What about steering, as wagons were available both rack and pinion or with a steering box but the T series Corollas all have a steering box setup.
The reason for certing is to ensure that either the whole lot has been swapped or that any mixed and matched parts work together safely. General cost starts at $350ish.

all good i decided not to buy i bought a 1980 morris panel van instead :lol: :lol: thanks for the help guys, dont worrie my realtoy is still a toyota the morris is a advertising vehicle for my business
