Im pretty sure what your trying to ask is if there is a direct fitting width for the ae86? theres not, unless you want mega flares. So you need to get it shortened. and as for axle sizes (ie diameter) i have no idea. sweet :)

Iam pretty sure a diff from a hiace is very similar in length to the ae86 one, they are also 5 stud which maks it a bit better for re studding or you can just use 5 x 114.3 rims, however using a diff from a hilux (like i did) will increase your track which can be quite benifital.

yeh I think the early 1980's rwd style Hilux's have shorter diffs Iam sure there has been alot of different length diffs made of the years.

there is a hilux that will fit, just a matter of finding one. They are in old late 70's, early 80s hiluxs.
There are multiple widths, i think 1380mm, 1430mm, 1480mm onwards. 1430mm out of mid 80's hilux will probably do you

i use a 1420 one froma rn41 hilux in my ke70. my standard diff was 1400 witch i think is the same as the t series ae86 diffs.

most common/newer hilux are 1470.

Anyone know standard KE20 width since we're on this topic?

And are most Hilux diffs pretty much interchangable?
