Have you checked to see you havnt accidently knocked off any airlines?
Like maybe the airline for the map sensor, sounds like the motor is in limp mode.

I got water in mine once after steam cleaning it and it was extremely hard to drive for the first half n hour or so as well as some warning lights were on. I was told to just keep driving carefully until it dried out. Voila it dried out and was perfect. I think your stressing prematurely yet, chances are it'll be sweet

map senor is the air sensor on the intake, it depends what gen 4age you have tho?

just keep it ideling for a while same happend with my car took about 3 days of ideling and driving a bit to completely dry it out

check if there is no water inside the distributor cap (if you have one)...

best thing is to remove the distributor cap, dry it or let it dry, unplug the electrical connectors to everything and let them dry.
