Black top 4AGE compression.

I need to no how much compression a good blacktop has.

I dont mean 11-1. I want to no the psi reading from a actual test.

Can any 1 help?

The compression ratio has little to do with compression test.
It is all dependant on piston ring and valve seal, and cam timing.
Generally a healthy 20v would produce somewhere around 14bar.

As long as they're all pretty even and at least 180odd you should be right

I want some one to confirm that they have tewsted a blacktop and tell me the reading they got.

I compressed tested mine when i got it from the importer, at 140psi on all four. after a short run it was 220 odd i think, but my gauge is very dodgy and doesnt zero it goes back to about 20 (but it still think it reads ok up top)

I got 190 on all four but the engine is very smokey. Oil pressure is still damm good.

oil going down the intake stem seal when its open & then burning?

dont know how you would test that tho

check you PCV valve first seen that on a 12R you wouldent beleave how much oil thoes things can let thro

Dont think its hooked up on this engine has a catch can for all breathers
