Windom stuttering/surging ?

Postby gmacrae » Sun Aug 05, 2007 7:46 pm

Hey guys, i just picked up a windom and it has a hesitation sometimes when pulling away from a stop. The engine surges 3 times and then picks back up and runs sweet. it only does it about 20% of the time. I just did a big service and replaced the plugs, made no difference, ecu has been reset. Will be flushing the coolant soon, could be a bubble in there i guess? Will also replace the fuel filter this week

Any ideas? Would be good to get it sorted seeing as its probably a minor - Cheers for any help

they break the air pipe between the AFM an the throttle,

check in between the ribs in the flexi part for breaks.

had had that symptom described by lot os people an lots of things from surging to missing to broken engine mounts.

also, if it is broken check your engine mounts as they are just as common to break too.

the intake pipes usually break because an engine mount is rooted, engine flexes too much as a result till the pipe splits.

so check your engine mounts too!
