old rwd offsets

I am trying to sort out the correct offset for my celica supra. (MA61)

it currently has 15x6" wheels with an offset of +20 with 215/6-/15 g3s
I am hoping to run these tyres for now on some new 15" wheels, but i need to work out the correct offset for my car. (will get a better tyre choice later on)

Im wanting to go 15x7fr and 15x8rr, dont think id get 9s at the back.

Has anyone had any experience with their old rwd toyotas?

i normally just work out from the rims you aready have...
ie if you get 15x8's the there 2" ~50mm wider so i'd start with the same offset and say 25mm wider each side.... then look at rim to strut clearance and see theres only 30mm and you want to keep 20mm clearance so then your change the offset to +10 to move the rim out 10mm...
then you end up with a 2" wider rim that sits out by 35mm

but if i was gonna run 215's all round i'd be running 9" wide rims, there only 228mm wide anyway

deaf, thats an american site.... so overprotective disclaimer!!
what they mean is you also have to think about where the wheel will sit in reguard to the guard and strut etc.... and to double check before spending thousands on new wheels!
i dont think you will find anything more useful than that!

ok my z10 soarer has 15*8's all around with 0 offest with no rubbing issues and its lowered, only on 195/55's though. These have the same suspension setup and similar guard clearance to the celica. Theres still miles on the inside on the rear with the correct offset (say +30) you could mash a 10" in there easy currently theres about 10mm to the guard in the rear which will be taken up when I adjust out the rear camber. basically your goal of 7's and 8's is piss easy aslong as you dont go into -ve offset crazy rims
