Running rough

Postby tsoob » Mon Feb 11, 2008 9:17 pm

Last night i started me car to drive home from around the corner and it was running really rought rich as spitting out fuel smoke and misssing, i started this morning and it was the same. I put new plugs in and have checked the compression, it is ok it has been driving around for about 6 weeks on the 4agze base map supplied by microtech with no problems until now.

Does any one have any idea what is wrong with it?

black smoke? plugs sooty?

check you're fuel pressure for starters, if thats ok then it can only be the injector Pulse Width at fault.

wide open maybe?

i had a mate look at it and the water map was all over the show have fixed it but is still quite rough when it comes on boost it misses a bit and has flat spots. It feels like the turbo is fully spooled but the injection isint right for the boost level any thoughts

Why are you still driving around on a base map?
