in my 4agte i just put a 2lt catch can and i seem to have a lot of smoke coming out still, why is this? Robin suggested steel wool but i cnt really get it in there, any other solutions?

how many breathers have you got on the rocker covers?

You need some sort of baffle to catch the oil vapour and condense the oil back to a liquid, that's why I suggested steel wool. I have heard of a few guys using that with good results.

Dunno what else you could try.

yeh im going to try that on weekend just ram heaps into the filter i guess all i can do with that cuz tops all seald etc

The problem is if you block the filter up too much then it wont let enough air out and you'll run into problems again with over pressurising the crank case. It needs to have proper baffling either in the breather or in the cam cover itself.

What's everyone else using? Is there any difference between the breathers on the 4AGZE cam cover and just the normal 4AGE one?

I think you are looking at the wrong end of the problem. It appears that you are attempting to condense the vapor rather than finding out where the vapor is coming from.
If you are getting a steady stream of air flowing out of the vents then you have some serious blowby. I would be checking compression.

i did a compression test couple weeks ago and was 205, 195, 195, 205

could that mean something? its really high for turbo i believe ?

will do a leak down on the weekend and go see my engine builder
