those 2 extra pipes on the TB are for the PS. If you look down by the rack you will see this fitting with 2 pipes. Im sure it controls the idle up when you use full lock.

Injects or allows gas from the exhaust back into the intake manifold under certain conditions to reduce combustion temperatures and reduce emissions,

i think from memory.

pretty much on the money matt

specifically helps reduce the formation of oxides of nitrogen, which increases as combustion temp rises.

Sounds like you have no idea what EGR is.

Do you have a big pipe running from the exhaust manifold around to a large valve, ( about 3/4 size of an external wastegate and looks the same)
on the inlet manifold?

No?

Then you dont have EGR.

Sounds to me like you are talking about the charcoal cannister, which is
for fuel tank ventilation.

Its all economy and emissions stuff, you dont need it!

EGR - Exhaust Gas Recirculation.. does as the name suggests.

If you have modded it with a turbo you will have already biffed most of the EGR stuff. Its not gunna hurt if you biff the rest...

Haha, this always got me. Im assuming that they couldnt be bothered changing it from the original 1st gen 4AGZE which appeared to be the correct way up in the AW11
