ae101 idler pulley

how the hell do i tension this thing, ive got the bolt going up through the ac bracket into the water pump pulley but tightening that does nothing, does it go up through something else aswell or what?

loosen the bolt that passes through the center of the pulley then wind the adjuster bolt and tighten the pulley again

ya but winding the adjuster bolt does nothing, the pulley (threaded bit) is just sitting on top of the ac bracket, im pretty sure im missing something but no idea what it would be,

turns easy? its not striped or anything? sounds a bit strange cant get a pic?

ok, the pulley bit is threaded and sits on top of the ac bracket bit (not threaded), when i tighten the bolt all that happens is the .....

oh $&#$% i had the belt sitting on top of the idler, problem solved thanks for your help :D
