Are you sure its not just so they dont freeze up on cold days? The MR2 is quite good as this trick with no engine to warm up the lines. :lol:

On a frosty morning, the water from the screen washer will actually
freeze on the screen and form a layer of ice under the wipers. Heating
the washer water would be one way of making it possible to clean your
screen and still be able to see thru it !!

Good point. But how do you unfreeze the lines from the pump to the washer head quickly? Thats more the issue I have.

wouldn't spraying hot water over a frozen windscreen cause it to crack/smash? 8O

I'm actually starting to wonder how likely that is.

Next time I'm wrecking a car or something, remind me to pour hot water over the windscreen in the morning haha
