convert ae101 st to bt advice?

i have a ae101 levin st 20v, its manual if that matters, my motor has seen better days and i was looking at fitting a bt 20v, ill be using the bt wiring and ecu also, im just wanting to no if this is just a straight forward swap and will ae111 bt engine loom plug in to ae101 st loom for dash etc..., any other advice would b awsome, thanks heaps.

ps, i tried to find if this has been covered before and ant find anything.

the best/cleanest/cheapest way:

sell your car and buy a bzr/blacktop whatever the hell you want

Sorry if thats not the answer you were looking for but its common sense.

No i'm afraid not, the engine will drop right it but the engine managements are different, the black top needs to have the MAP sensor, IAT sensor and ECU from a blacktop car because the silvertop uses an AFM unit with it's ECU.

The easiest way to do the wiring is to use the silvertop loom and modify it to suit, the IAT and MAP sensors wire into where the AFM was, and then you change the plugs for the ecu

Doing it for fun / something to do: go nuts
Doing it to just get it going again: jam another silvertop in and save some $$$ and hassle.

if you like the 101 shape i say go nuts.

just remember these things almost always cost more to do you than you originally imagine.
