Starting to sense a tiny bit of slippage so I guess I better start to plan...
As far as I know all the 5L should be an 8 bolt flywheel not 6 like 2L ? and as long as the 5L was not from a 4x4 and was from newer 2wd hilux or a hiace it should be a solid type non not a dual mass flywheel (I hope solid).
Just not sure what to bolt back onto it though,
Have read lots of things saying the 5L ones are shyte weak and will die quick even on n/a 5L. Thought if the bolt and dowel spacing is the same between dual mass or solid flywheels can you use a 2LTe surf one maybe ? at least it is suited for a turbo granted though if it is only for 2400cc not 3000cc or is there anything else anyone can recommend ?
Obviously ute is no no race car and no big horse power from the lil diesel but I guess it has to suit the torque and last or be able to tow etc. Mite have a couple more horse than standard due to front mount and 3" exhaust but that's more for less egt's / reliability and preventing head going supernova, I still drive it like a diesel ute...
Current clutch was done by previous owner only a couple of years ago apparently so need something a lil better ?
Cheers.
