Solid pinion spacer for diff?

Postby cat007 » Thu Jan 23, 2014 11:10 am

Hey all

Just wondering if anyone local can supply a solid pinion spacer kit for my MK3 supra diff?

Found an american company that does them, but by the time it's shipped here the cost is ~$100!

Cheers

Heard bad things with using the Toyota crush tube.
Ended up buying from Weird Performance and solid pinion spacer kit. Pretty pricey but at least it'll mean it'll be set up right!

lol weir performance
its only with decent torque that they squash further which reduces pinion bearing preload, causing a whine.
I use the std crush tube with a 7.5" 2way lsd for drifting a 150kw ish 1000kg corolla. hasn't made any noises after a dozen track days. but a mates 1jz 13psi cressida got whiney not long after a full rebuild 7.5" diff and i'm assuming the crush tube is the cause.

Why lol @ Weir performance?

Yeah I've had a bad wine from an F series supra diff (from my original n/a 1G auto supra) and I think that's what happened as well.
